But Windows system volume doesn’t seem to have any issue. I say certain applications because I haven’t had the chance to check this on other programs or browsers that output sound.Streaming over Discord picks up static noise from certain applications (including Discord itself). Not that audible from the headset wearer but audible hiss compared to the older generation Razer Blackshark V2 Pro Running certain applications seems to output max noise. The moment I reduce the bars of this program in Windows volume mixer to minimum, you can notice that there’s less hiss coming out from the headset. When I run applications like League of Legends, it gives me the same result where Windows volume mixer is showing maximum noise volume being outputted. I checked whether if lowering that certain bar in the volume mixer reduces the noise and I checked from Discord streaming that the noise went away. It seems like certain applications like Discord or League of Legends is constantly giving out static noise if you check the volume mixer when you have the programs running even without having any sound come out from it.įor example, if I login to Discord, my volume mixer shows two Discord app and one is constantly outputting max noise although I don’t hear it from the headset itself. I also have the same issue here’s what I found. I’m not sure if this is enough information, but I would really appreciate any assistance in solving this issue. I have not tried streaming video on any other platform as I don’t really have another platform to test on. I’ve also tested several other calling apps (teams, regular phone calls, etc) and have no audio issues. Also, the static/buzzing sound does not happen during regular voice calls in discord. I have even tried muting my mic during stream. I can’t think of any reason as to why the headset would be affecting stream audio. My Windows is fully updated, the Razer headset is set as my default mic in windows, etc. I quickly plugged in my old headset (non Razer, wired headset+mic) and the stream is no longer buzzing. Whenever I am streaming (game/show/movie/anything) in Discord, whoever is viewing the stream hears a buzz in the background. I purchased and received it less than a week ago, made sure to apply all updates to both the headset and attached USB dongle, and am experiencing the following issue: I’m experiencing an issue with my new Blackshark V model.
